So who the heck are we?

It helps if you know a little back story about the two of us.

I am Joni. I am the one behind the blog, chaos manager, referred to by many as "The Boss Lady". 

Currently by day, I am a nurse who would love nothing more than to be a full-time farmer. 

I was born in a small town in Central Texas but was raised in the suburbs of Dallas.

Mike is the dreamer, builder, horse trainer and currently works for a garage door company by day (but not for much longer). Mike was born in the heart of Dallas and also grew up in the suburbs. 

The two of us met when my mom was the manager of the apartments when all lived in. For several decades, after I was an adult, Mike chased me and one day, I got tired of running and gave in. Like they say, the rest is history.

Even though we grew up in the suburbs, our families lived rural. Mike's dad had horses and pigs while my dad had an entire working farm and garden. That goes back generations on both sides and for years, both Mike and I, kept our love for everything country a secret. 

After deciding to do life together, Mike came to me and told me his dream. 

I think he thought I was going to tell him it was not realistic, he was crazy, there was no way but instead, I said, "Let's do it"!

We call ourselves a ranch but in reality we are more of a farm and horse company. 

We are just getting started and want to share our journey with you. 

We will make mistakes. It's fine to offer advice and suggestions but being a keyboard bully will never be tolerated.
